​​​September is Rabies Prevention Month.

Rabies persists in Grant County in the bat population. There have been numerous confirmed positive rabid bats tested throughout the county. Protect your whole family by making sure your cats, dogs and horses are current on their rabies vaccination. Our animals are much more likely to encounter bats than we are, so vaccinating them against this fatal disease goes a long way toward protecting you and your family. During September receive a 10% discount on rabies vaccination. Also remember, never touch bats with your bare hands. Use gloves or a shovel to move them.
